Then we would be delighted if you consider joining our team of international experts at the Hilti Global BIM Competence Center in the Netherlands!

Who is Hilti and the bim competence center?

We are a multi-national team of Project Managers, Lead Engineers, Lead Modelers, and Modelers to deliver professional BIM project services to our partners and country organizations.

We utilize the BIM method and technologies in a highly practical way and act hereby as a “Transformation partner” along with our renowned core competencies: MEP support systems, passive Fire-Protection, and Fastening Solutions. Located in the Netherlands with its advanced BIM market, strong network of collaboration partners, and universities we have the ideal base for a top-notch BIM Competence Center.

What are you going to do?

As an International BIM Lead Modeler of the BIM Competence Center, you are responsible for driving modelling performance at scale in multiple integrated design projects. You manage with your peers to produce Hilti aspect models and respective deliverables to enable workflow productivity to our clients. As shared service centre to European markets, you are embedded in a strong workflow collaboration amongst International Project Managers and Lead Engineers by:

  • Setting up project model leveraging all information captured in ‘Framework’ by the assigned Project Manager;
  • Embracing all client project- and information requirements towards enabling consulted and contracted Hilti workflow productivity use-cases;
  • Continuously following ‘Design’ input by assigned Lead Engineer to run Modelling- & Output Services;
  • Performing in collaboration with internal/external BIM Modelers;
  • Issue management & workload management of assigned modellers (70% coordination);
  • QA/QC continuously to deliver modelling & output services with top quality by following all workflow guidelines and matching agreed client-/project requirements;
  • Clash detection – resolving clashes of Hilti discipline (MEP support systems, Fire Protection and Fastening Solutions) within constrains of the provided design;
  • Reporting other issues/clashes which do not meet Design input constrains or when specific applications exceed technical design; proactively communicate to the Lead Engineer using global workflow tools;
  • Producing all scoped output to enable Hilti use-cases: e.g., prefabrication, digital to field (Jaibot, PLT).

Your role of expertise:

  • Investigate developments regarding BIM within the industry to keep modelling workflow up to date;
  • Contribute to a professional, standardized portfolio of software supporting all modelling use-cases;
  • Utilize our script library to apply automation to repetitive modelling tasks;
  • Leverage global guidelines to harvest common rail within Hilti modelling community;
